Who
The Greek Community
Greek Sing is a philanthropy dance competition between fraternities and sororities. This philanthropy raises money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and is hosted by Chi Omega and Beta Theta Pi. The event date is April 13th, but it is subject to change each year. For this competition, teams come up with a theme for their dance that they use to create a 3-minute dance routine with many different parts. These themes will have dancers in different costumes with different transitions. In recent years, teams have done themes like Top Gun, Nintendo, and Circus. However, this event is not all about the dance routine.

Greek Sing requires much fundraising for each team as well. Along with having a great routine, you want to ensure that you also have the most money fundraised. The teams that are leading in fundraising have a big chance of winning the overall event. Multiple events hosted throughout the spring semester, like bake sales and restaurant fundraisers, allow teams to raise money.

Teams spend countless hours throughout the semester practicing and perfecting their dance with the help of multiple coaches. Our coaches help create the music and dance moves that allow us to perform. Although this is a competition and everyone wants to win the trophy, everyone who is a part of this is working toward the same goal. Everyone wants to help raise as much money as possible for the kids in the Make-a-Wish Foundation to give them a chance to experience a fantastic performance.
